With over two decades of teaching experience, I've dedicated my career to helping children aged 3-16 discover the magic of learning. Every child has the potential to shine, and my mission is to unlock that potential through personalised, creative, and engaging tutoring sessions.

I believe that learning should never feel like a chore. When children feel supported, understood, and excited about what they're learning, incredible things happen. That's why I take the time to understand each child's unique learning style, interests, and goals.

Whether your child needs help with phonics, reading, maths, English, or preparing for the 11+ exams, I'm here to guide them every step of the way with patience, encouragement, and a whole lot of fun!

I firmly believe that every child can succeed when given the right support and environment. My teaching philosophy centres around three core principles that guide every session I deliver.

Patience: Learning takes time, and every child moves at their own pace. I never rush or pressure - instead, I celebrate small wins and build confidence step by step.

Creativity: Boring lessons lead to disengaged learners. I use games, stories, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make every concept come alive.

Connection: Building a genuine relationship with each child is essential. When children feel safe and valued, they're more willing to take risks, ask questions, and embrace challenges.

Experience & Qualifications

My journey in education spans over two decades, during which I've worked with hundreds of children across all primary year groups. This extensive experience has given me deep insight into how children learn and what they need to thrive.

I have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have specialised training in phonics instruction, reading intervention, and supporting children with different learning needs. I continuously update my knowledge through professional development to ensure I'm using the most effective teaching strategies.

Beyond the classroom, I've helped countless children prepare for and succeed in their 11+ examinations, gaining places at competitive grammar schools. My approach combines thorough preparation with confidence-building techniques that help children perform at their best when it matters most.
